OUR PRACTICE
Meet The Doctors
Taylor Tran, O.D.
Dr. Taylor Tran was born and raised in the Bay Area. She attended UC Davis and received a degree in psychology with an emphasis in biology. She decided to stay in the Bay Area to attend Optometry School at UC Berkeley. At Berkeley, she had rotations at the Optometry School, the Student Health Center, as well as finally leaving California for rotations at the Tacoma Veteran Affairs Health Care Services in Washington and the Atlanta Omni Eye Services in Georgia. Living away from the California sunshine made her realize that the best place to live was the Bay Area and moved home after graduation to establish her career.
Not only does Dr. Tran care for the patients that come to the practice, but also to those in need. She has volunteered her time in Guadalajara, Mexico and helped examine and distribute glasses to over 10,000 people. She also went to Kanpur, India with a group of doctors and opticians to help over 8,000 people. While at Cal, she was a member of Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity and helped examine and distribute glasses to over 2,000 people in Santiago, Chile.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Santa Clara Optometric Society. Dr. Tran is licensed by the National State Board of Examiners in Optometry and the California State Board and is certified for patient care, treatment and management of ocular disease, and glaucoma certified.
When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter, traveling, reading, watching TV, and eating.
